Integrated Beef Production
Kingsbury considers the area near Los Palos to be some of Timor Leste's most fertile agricultural country and
has in place an agreement with the Timor Leste government to use an initial area of 3,000 hectares to establish a
cattle feedlot, with the option to obtain more land.
This land was selected because of its soil type, location, water availability and potential water bore quality. The area allows for intensive feed lotting, back grounding and the potential to run a breeding herd as well as additional arable land for feed production, such as maize.
In addition, the area is close to the deep water port of Com for export to overseas markets such as China and Japan.
Kingsbury now has an agreement in principle with the government to build Timor Leste's first commercial abattoir and has employed an operations manager to realise Kingsbury's cattle business plan and maximise synergies between this venture and Kingsbury's work in Logistics and Security.
Kingsbury is combining these elements into an Integrated Beef Production project and welcomes inquiries from interested strategic investors.
